Description
The SCE Electromagnetic Clutch is a negative electromagnetic clutch, that is, activated in the absence of current through springs.
To transmit torque, it uses multiple friction discs. By establishing direct current in the coil, a magnetic field is generated that attracts the armature and releases the clutch discs and releases the drive shaft from the driven shaft.
The slip ring design allows the admitted shafts to have a large section and according to the torque to be transmitted.
This clutch allows relatively high rotation speeds at the same time that it transmits a high torque for its dimensions.
