EIDE invests in solar energy, and reaches 85% self-consumption.

This June 2022, EIDE – Embragatges i Derivats S.A. has completed the installation of 130 photovoltaic panels at its plant in Castellar del Vallès (Barcelona), starting to generate electricity in a sustainable way.

EIDE will generate around 90.500 kW annually, covering around 85% of the needs of this plant.

This photovoltaic installation project is part of the set of measures that EIDE is carrying out in order to provide the best service, reducing the company’s carbon footprint and environmental impact and of its services.

And since this June EIDE invests in solar energy, promoting self-consumption.

The self-consumption system allows the company to promote the energy transition and the fight against climate change, while saving on electricity bills.

Thanks to the installation of the 130 photovoltaic panels, CO2 savings equivalent to 34,842 trees will be achieved.
